Creating a Scholarship

Establishing a formal scholarship in memory or in honor of an individual provides a lasting legacy of his/her contributions to the choral arts, and provides critical support to young musicians. TCDA requires an initial gift of $5,000 to establish a formal scholarship, and such amount funds a $1,000 annual scholarship to a qualified individual. Going forward, a minimum annual contribution of $1,000 will ensure scholarship awards beyond five years.  It is up to the family establishing the named scholarship to raise funds; however, TCDA will provide assistance by publishing the establishment of the scholarship in publications and on our website.  For more information on creating a formal scholarship, please e-mail Sharon Lutz at or call the TCDA Office at 512-474-2801.

Endowed Scholarships

Establishing an endowed scholarship will leave a perpetual gift for generations to come and will ensure needed educational assistance is provided to deserving students.  For more information, please contact Sharon Lutz at or call 512-474-2801.
